Born in the heart of darkest Ayrshire, Aly was brought up singing and playing with the world famous band the Macrazies, graduating to the more serious art of playing for ceilidhs with The Tattiehowkers and later The Oatcakes.

Aly will now tour Scotland with The Macrazy Vaudeville Orchestra to launch his debut album POPSTARDOMBECKONS. This is the first time the album will be performed live since it was recorded. Whilst recording the album Aly played 10 instruments himself and is delighted to now have the opportunity to perform the album with the help of 9 other Scottish musicians including Annie Grace.

POPSTARDOMBECKONS was written and arranged by Aly and inspired by many years of touring around Scotland with various bands and theatre companies. Finally he returns to the towns that inspired his songs performing them live for the very first time!
